How do I calculate my vehicle licence disc renewal cost?
Your renewal cost is made up of a few parts. First, the annual licence fee, which Gauteng sets based on your vehicle's tare (empty) weight — heavier vehicles pay more. Second, a flat R72 RTMC transaction fee, which applies no matter where you renew. If your licence has been expired for more than 21 days, arrears and a late penalty are added on top, calculated from your expiry date.
